Baikal seal pups born on the ice in February are a heartwarming symbol of life in this frozen wonderland. Their fluffy white fur provides camouflage and warmth, and they rely on their mothers for protection and nourishment. As they grow, fur become gray, and they start to explore the icy surroundings, reminding of the resilience of life in Lake Baikal's unique ecosystem.
